In view of the large amount of misinformation about COVID-19 being circulated in India, especially after the Indian PM made some announcements which then had to be elaborately (even if incorrectly) justified, I thought of compiling a list of people/accounts that provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on the pandemic in India. Besides news, we also need reasonable and robustly-argued analyses to help make sense of what’s happening – so this list also includes some people who in my experience are good at that.
This is not an exhaustive list – I am sure there are many important people/accounts I will be missing here. But this could be a good start for someone looking for solid information, after which it’ll be easy to get acquainted with other folks doing equally awesome work.
[First, a pro tip on who not to follow or trust: The highly toxic handles of OpIndia and Swarajya Magazine, and all their associates. Their anti-social and anti-commonsense antics have been regularly chronicled before, like here and here. Run away from them, and run fast.]
